Star Wars: The Price of Liberty Too

Welcome to your Adventure Log!
A blog for your campaign

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.

The Campaign Begins
Openning Scene

At this time Prince Xisor is not a leader of the Black Sun nor is he even a regional leader. He is just a Lt with a vision of gaining the top spot…one person at a time regardless of who else might get hurt in the process. One such plot was stopped by the jedi master “Cam Janistan”. Cam sensed the evil in the mastermind behind the attempted mass slaughter so he decided to hunt down and put an end to that person’s criminal activities. The two clashed time and time again until Xisor got the upper hand and was able to kill Cam Janistan.
The news of Cam’s death reached those closest to him including his padawan student, “Jax”. Jax decided to hunt down the criminal and make him pay for the crime. Jax’s fellow padawan student and closest friend “Kiri” decided to go with him to ensure he went for justice and not revenge since that leads to the dark side. They were given several small clues. First that Xisor was headed to the capital city Dodecapolis on Yag’Dhul. Second to contact a Givin named Terik Glandon who could be found in a place called “The Crusty Lady” (translated from the Givin language).
Upon meeting the contact they quickly went to a safe location to discuss the matter. Terik had not heard any information on Xisor but would look into it. In the mean time he had a dangerous mission that he needed to complete to get two of his operatives into the Black Sun Organization. Once inside the organization his operatives would help him bring down the crime organizations operations in this area. He requested the Jedi’s help in the matter for the exchange of information.
The mission to kill the Protector Sladru Nalas and bring his left hand as proof. The Black Sun asked that they not kill the Imperial Lt Wellerton if they could help it since the man was an idiot and they knew his type. However if it could not be helped then they were ok with his death.
The team would be made up of the two operatives getting into Black Sun, (Mya Stinnan and Bakku) the two jedi, (Kiri and Jax) A merc named Ya’Zahn, and an engineer named Bob. They looked over the compound that the Protector resided at. It is a large compound with laser turrets and lookout towers with 2 km of open space surrounding the outside. They had to dig deeper and find other resources to gain the information they needed to infiltrate the place. Armed with that information they formed a plan. Enter the compound through the escape tunnels and take them by force. They hit the compound with a special device to disable the electronics.
Once in the tunnel they were met by some people trying to use the tunnel and a small security force. The security force and the group fought it out. The team was victorious but it was not a clean victory a few of the members got hurt. They continued into the base and located the Protector who also had a small force that were willing to fight the team. The team was successful and took the protector into custody. They turned the protector over to Terik and gained information on the last known location for Prince Xisor.
Prince Xisor has been seen frequenting an establishment in the market area called “The Blast Off”. We will see what the team makes of the news in the next session.

The Market Place

The team camped out at the market place for several days before they caught a hint that Xisor was even in the area. They had almost given up hope of finding him and began to doubt his being on planet. They decided to wait one more day and that decision paid off. The Jedi sensed Xisor and the chase through the market place was on. The team lost sight of him for only a second until finally they had him. They made all haste to get to the ship. They contacted captain Yak’Zahn so he could get the ship ready to depart only to find out that Yak’Zahn and the other whiplash operative had troubles of their own. The captain was already getting the ship ready while the operative was fighting off the attackers.
All around the city the team had to fight off members of the black sun. Several of the team got injured but eventually the team made it to the ship and were able to get safely away.

The return to safety?

As the crew heads for a safe haven to bring Xisor to justice……Jedi Jax decides to contact a jedi master by the name of Sagan. Sagan is on Naboo along with 2 other masters as luck would have it. normally they would not be on the same planet together for fear of discovery but the force brought them together. Master Sagan told Jax to bring Xisor to Naboo and they would have the trial. He also stated that Xisor needed to be questioned to ensure he was indeed Xisor.
Captain Yak’Zahn and Jedi Jax were headed into the room to question Xisor while Mindy and the whiplash agent waited outside the room.
The questioning went south the moment they entered the room. The person they had in custody stated that his name was Julius. He was being chased in the market place for who knows what reason and was really scared so naturally he kept running until he was tackled and shackled.
Jedi Jax used the force to gain his identification (and a couple of cred sticks) which confirmed some of the things he had said like the fact that he was a Gemologist and he had a family. Jax attempted to use the force to see if he was being told the truth because things were not adding up and he had to avenge his slain master. But the force was no help Julius had to be telling the truth. “What is that strange smell?” Jax asked Yak’Zahn. " I smell nothing my suit has a filter" That is when it dawned on them that Julius was using his pheromones to induce a loving feeling a peaceful feeling. They stepped out side the room and got a breather for Jax while Yak’Zahn examined the cred sticks to find they were rigged to explode.
Reentering the room they tossed the cred sticks at his feet. “You wanted to give us cred sticks that were rigged to explode?” " Of course they are rigged. I am a Gemologist and carry around sticks all the time if robbed I want some assurance that they will explode and be unusable. But the explosion is a small one isolated to the device. I am not a murderer."
The questioning continued but they were not able to determine his true identity. As they were getting ready to leave he told them how this was going to end. The door now had an explosive device on it and he was going to set it off if they did not cooperate. He set the charge off knocking Yak’Zahn and Jax to the ground. It also knocked Mindy to the ground. Yak’Zahn got off a shot that wounded Julius but Julius was able to slip past to get to the cockpit. Locked inside the cockpit he got to work. He brought the ship out of Hyperspace and set a new course.
The team finally got into the cockpit and had a brief standoff with Julius. Julius was able to destroy the pilot and co-pilot consoles. The cockpit was set to explode and did. Yak’Zahn was sucked out into space while Jax was pulled back inside by Bob whose quick thinking saved them. Julius was dead and floating in space. Yak’Zahn used the jet pack in his suit to get back on board.
The crew got rescued and taken to Naboo but their ship was lost….stolen.
Questions still plague Jax did Xisor get away, was that really Julius? The information they got from whiplash was of no use. Now they need a ship and a new path, but they think they have a plan……

To Catch A Ship or 2 or 3

While whiplash did everything it could to gain information on the shipyard in the Corellian System. The team was able to enjoy some time off. The Jedi used this time to train with Jedi Master Sagan. From him they learned Life Detection and honed their Light Saber skills. It was very beneficial to both Jedi. Jax was informed that Kiri would not be joining them as he was given a mission he had to carry out. Jax was introduced to No-di’sh a half Rishi half human jedi that had the strange habit of eating anything it wanted.
It wasn’t long after, that a meeting was called. The team gathered and they were informed that in order to gain the information to make this run possible they had to employ the use of outside sources. Whiplash had to get information from the Hutts and in return would gain a ship for them. The Hutts provided their own team of personnel led by Andak a particularly nasty red Rodian. Whiplash also had to contact the Bothan Coalition which just happened to have a member inside collecting the very data they were looking for. The team was introduced to Maori the Bothan Operative. There was also one other member Nila the ship acquisition specialist. Hours upon hours the team discussed how to get the ships and get out safely. In the end it was decided that the team would locate any imperial “idiot” that worked near the shipyards and see if they could use them to get what they needed and get away safely. Once they had the information and/or “idiot” they would contact Nila and she would set things in motion with the Corellian contact Davin the leader of the stormtroopers stationed at the ship yards. Piece of cake right????
On Corellia the peeps split up to find their “idiot”. Some went to a bar, a gambling establishment, a goods trader, and a fancy restaurant. As luck would have it they hit pay dirt. They found several “idiots” but which one would be of most use?
A plan was quickly formulated and set into motion. There were 3 ships needed and there were 2 Corellian corvettes almost completed and ready for space trials. There was also a ship that looked like the corvette but was a third of the size and called a prototype. Rumored to be 4 times faster than any ship in subspace. The team after several blunders secured the ship and got underway only to discover the hyper drive didn’t work. They decided to hide in the shadow of one of the moons and get the 2 other ships to hyper jump in the same vector to cover their disappearance. And that is where we will find them when we pick up the game.

The Escape???

The team hid the Prototype ship in the gravity well of a nearby moon. It relayed a message to the other two ships to use the moon to plot a exit course and perform the jump to hyperspace. The Empire’s ships followed those courses and also performed a sensor sweep of the area. Several tie fighters as well as a couple of Z-95 Headhunters were in the area performing the sweep. A few Asteroids caused a little trouble for the Z-95 pilots as they ran into it. They discovered the prototype and engaged the ship. After a brief battle the team was reinforced by Mindy Chest and Yak Zhan flying their own Z-95s. Mindy took several hits and it was ultimately her expert flying that saved her and a lucky shot from the prototype that hit her attacker. The tie fighters did some pretty good damage to the prototype but in the end the team crushed the opposition. After the battle Mindy and Yak docked with the prototype. The team was in the middle of accessing damage and status when a communication came in for Jedi Jax.

A Deep Rich Voice cuts across the comms in a recorded message.
“To “Jedi” Jax…. and I use the term loosely. I am most impressed with your recent theft of the Prototype at the shipyards. I am sure your former Master Janistan would be sooooo pleased with your progress in his ancient tradition. You have thwarted me for the last time and I am more than positive that you did so unknowingly. Let me spell it out for you since you will have no idea what I am talking about. That is my ship you are on. I had it commissioned. Too bad you couldn’t wait until the hyper drive was installed. My technician keeps me informed of all changes lucky for me he was not onboard when you took off on my ship. Imagine my surprise to find out someone had the gall to steal my ship. You all left trails a baby could follow and it only took a few questions of the proper people to gain your name.
I should have you removed from existence…. but I am not a murder as your former Master would have you believe. I know nothing I say will change your mind of that fact so I will not waste my time doing so. I will however, give you a once in a lifetime opportunity…………… cease your quest of me and leave my ship at the coordinates I will give you after I have your pledge to end your chase of my being. Leave a message at this general channel within 1 hour. I will be monitoring the channel and if I hear the words “I so Pledge”, then I know it will be your agreement to the terms.
By the way murder is bad business and I know you didn’t mean to murder Julius but that doesn’t make it any less heinous. Murder is murder and if I were you… I wouldn’t go back to Yag’Dhul anytime soon as there is a warrant for you and your accomplices.
If you are smart you will get out of this game and go find a life somewhere. Get a wife and raise a whelp. Basically I am saying amateur hour is over and it is time to live a long and safe life.
To your continued health and good sense I look forward to hearing those 3 tiny words. The clock is ticking.”

The team decided to buy some time by responding to the message with the three words just prior to the time limit. While they were scanning for devices, fixing the hyperdrive and blind jumping to hyperspace. They believe they found the tracking device and made a jump but they do not know where they jumped to.
